Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Krebstherapie e.V. (Society for the Promotion of Cancer Therapy)
The Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Krebstherapie e.V. (GFK; Society for the Promotion of Cancer Therapy) is a non-profit association that is supported by the contributions and donations of its members and friends, also by donations in kind from local companies. The GFK supports and assists the Carl Gustav Carus-Institut ideally and financially in order to maintain and develop it as a place of research for cancer therapy and innovative ideas. The GFK is the economic and legal sponsor of the Carl Gustav Carus-Institut. The GFK is recognised as a non-profit association. Donations to the GFK are tax-deductible.
A large part of the scientific projects worked on at the Institute is funded by research contracts, grants from foundations and public institutions, such as the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, the German Research Foundation (DFG) or the European Union (EU). The diversity of the origin of the funding clearly demonstrates the appreciation and recognition that our research work receives.
